The annual Agricultural Show is the highlight of autumn in the region, and it's one of the most popular events of the year. Visitors can enjoy an array of displays including arts, crafts, fruit and vegetables, livestock, and much more. Additionally, the Wongan Hills Art Festival occurs annually at the Wongan Hills Memorial Hall. The festival is a free, public, art event that features works from various artists in the Mid West region.
WINTER:
In winter, Wongan Ballidu is transformed into a winter wonderland, and there's no shortage of events to make the most of this season. The Wongan Hills Visitor Centre hosts an annual 'Christmas in July' event, which is a three-course meal event that celebrates the festive season. Visitors can also enjoy the amazing flora and fauna of the natural winter landscape by booking a walk-through of the Wongan Hills Flora and Fauna Reserve.
SPRING:
The arrival of spring brings new life to Wongan Ballidu, and the region is awash with vibrant colors. One of the most popular events during this season is the Wildflower Festival, which takes place annually between late August and early September. During the festival days which is held in different locations within the Shire, visitors can explore the region's spectacular wildflower displays and participate in tours, guided walks, and other fun activities.
